About North Aurora, IL - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

The Village of North Aurora is a Chicago suburb found in Kane County. As of 2017, it was estimated that 18,500 people resided here. Previously known as “Schneider’s Crossing” or “Schneider’s Mill”, the name North Aurora was ultimately given due to the community’s proximity to Aurora, Illinois. North Aurora is only three miles northwest of Aurora and 35 miles west of Chicago, and it is conveniently located along Interstate 88. While many residents commute to larger cities for work, there are plenty of employment opportunities in North Aurora, and the city is proud to have the largest retail auto mall setting in the Fox Valley.

While the larger City of Aurora tends to get more visitors than North Aurora, there are still plenty of places to visit here. There are restaurants available to suit any palate, including Bruno’s Cheesesteaks, Run-A-Way Restaurant, and Harner’s Bakery and Restaurant. There are a variety of unique shopping destinations in the community, such as Chicago Premium Outlets, Pas & Present Shops, Pedal & Spoke, and Clock Tower Plaza. There is even a golf course available here – Valley Green Golf Course.

Winter weather in North Aurora can be brutal at times with frigid temperatures accompanying heavy snow. During the average year, the region receives about 30 inches of total snowfall, and average daily high temperatures dip below freezing. The right home furnace system will keep indoor conditions comfortable, so residents should be sure to invest in the best unit for their space. Important features to look for in a gas or electric furnace include a two-stage valve to control fuel flow and sealed combustion for optimal energy efficiency.

During the late spring and summer months, North Aurora residents will have no use for heating systems, as the temperature will quickly warm up. Average daily highs stay in the 80s during July and August, although high humidity can make it feel even warmer. A central air conditioner with a high SEER rating at home will keep indoor conditions comfortable throughout the season.
